Whitelines® stationery will launch in the UK in September 2009 accompanied by a major PR and awareness campaign.
Smart, stylish, functional and environmentally friendly, Whitelines® is a new concept in stationery. Not only is it the first carbon neutral range of notebooks in the world but it is also a new concept in paper. Instead of white paper with dark lines, Whitelines® features white lines out of a toned background. The result is a startling improvement in clarity which has to be seen to be believed.
The concept, invented in Sweden by designer Olaf Hansson, is patented and ingenious: the traditional dark lines of ordinary paper add interference and conflict with your writing and sketching. With Whitelines® paper there is no visual interference. Also, when copied, scanned or faxed, the lines disappear, leaving just a sharp, clear image. The soft grey tone reduces the glare associated with ordinary paper, making it easier on the eye and more comfortable to read.
For those who have reading and writing difficulties, such as dyslexia, Whitelines® is fast becoming the paper of choice as it is acknowledged that less interference and reduced glare enhance the reading and writing experience.
Whitelines® is the first stationery product in the world to be carbon neutral, achieved by using a state-of-the-art factory in southern Sweden which re-uses carbon dioxide in a closed loop, resulting in no CO 2 emissions from the plant. Any CO2 generated from transport is offset via a tree-planting scheme in Uganda.
It's simple. Dark lines distract. White lines don't.
